Proprio qualche giorno fa vi parlavamo di YouTu.be, il nuovo url shortener del famoso portale di video sharing che ci permette di abbreviare, seppur di poco, l’url dei nostri video YouTube. Il funzionamento di questo abbreviatore di url è molto semplice, nel caso in cui non l’abbiate capito ve lo spieghiamo di nuovo. Prendete come esempio il video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gtwnZtClmA, per abbreviarne l’url sarà sufficiente togliere tutta la prima parte fino a “v?=” e sostituirla con http://youtu.be, ottenendo così http://youtu.be/3gtwnZtClmA. Il procedimento è molto semplice, ma il risultato non molto soddisfacente, visto che l’url rimane comunque molto lungo. Perché quindi non utilizzare ancora i cari vecchi url shorteners di una volta?
- CutsLink: svolge le stesse funzioni degli altri servizi, ma è in italiano. Ah, quasi dimenticavo: questo servizio è stato interamente creato da Shor. 😉
- Tinyarro.ws: ottenere url più corte di quelle generate da Tinyarro.ws è quasi impossibile. Il servizio genera gli url corti inserendo altre tipologie di caratteri al posto dei caratteri europei, riducendo cosi la lunghezza dell’url al minimo indispensabile. Ad esempio http://www.geekissimo.com diventa http://➡.ws/쪔 con un notevole risparmio di spazio.
- Cli.gs: questo eccellente servizio, oltre a permetterci di accorciare qualsiasi url, ci fornisce anche un completo sistema di statistiche, che ci permette ad esempio di monitorare il numero di click effettuati sul nostro url. Ad esempio, per quanto riguarda Geekissimo l’url breve risultato è il seguente: http://cli.gs/tD23qQ.
- Is.gd: permette di abbreviare i nostri url generandoli secondo la seguente struttura: http://is.gd/kkjo.
- TinyUrl: probabilmente il più famoso servizio del genere, anche se esistono servizi che generano url molto più corte. Nel nostro caso infatti, è risultato più comodo e veloce digitare http://www.geekissimo.com che http://tinyurl.com/42l9p3. Interessante comunque la funzione che permette di creare url personalizzati, come http://tinyurl.com/geekissimo-com, e la possibilità di creare preview degli url accorciati (http://preview.tinyurl.com/geekissimo-com).
- Bit.ly: questo servizio, oltre a svolgere la stessa funzione degli altri, ci permette di twittare automaticamente ogni url creato sul nostro account Twitter, iscrivendosi gratuitamente.
- Kissa.be: questo servizio gratuito genera gli url abbreviati secondo questa struttura: http://kissa.be/hp- visualizzando la pagina web in un comodo iframe. E’ anche possibile sfruttarlo per accorciare indirizzi email, testi, immagini e tanto altro. Per la serie “come avere il web ai propri piedi“.
- BudUrl.com: questo servizio offre, come Cli.gs, la possibilità di avere un completo sistema di statistiche per monitorare qualsiasi attività effettuata sul nostro link.
- Url.ie: gli url generati da questo servizio sono brevissimi, la struttura è la seguente: http://url.ie/1lwd.
- 2pl.us: comodo servizio che permette di proteggere con una password i nostri link abbreviati.
