Una delle applicazioni della quale non posso fare proprio a meno è senza dubbio Notepad++. Personalmente lo ritengo uno dei migliori text editor di Windows in circolazione, l’altro che uso spesso è Notepad2. Ma a questo preferisco il primo perché sono presenti molti plugin che appunto estendono le funzionalità.
Installare plugin su Notepad++ è davvero molto semplice, basterà inserire i file del plugin all’interno della sub-directory plugin nella cartella di Notepad++. Questi potranno essere configurati utilizzando il menu Plugin presente in Notepad++. Per rimuoverli basterà semplicemente cancellare i file dalla sotto directory. Attualmente sono 26 i plugin disponibili per l’ultima versione di Notepad++. La lista è disponibile a questo indirizzo. Ecco quelli che personalmente ho deciso di installare:
- XML Tools – Controllo XML. Permette di chiudere automaticamente i tag, ad esempio, oltre che fornisce altre interessanti features.
- Hex Editor – Aggiunge un Hex editor a Notepad++
- Compare Plugin – Compara due file di testo.
- FTP Synchronize – Modifica e carica i file direttamente, ad un server ftp.
- Windows Manager – Ottimo se lavoriamo spesso con più finestre.
Comunque consiglio di controllare la pagina perché molti plugin sono stati scritti per usi specifici che magari possono non servire ai più. Inutile dire che Notepad++ è gratuito ed è disponibile in lingua italiana. Quali sono invece i vostri plugin preferiti? O quale text editor, gratuito, utilizzate?

Tempo fa cercando un editor avevo trovato sia Notepad++ che Pspad ho iniziato ad usare il secondo e questo non l’ho più considerato. Però non so fare un confronto ci vorrebbe qualcuno che ha usato entrambi.

Per quanto mi riguarda ho fatto il percorso inverso al tuo. Ho iniziato con Pspad poi sono passato a Notepad++, col quale sinceramente mi trovo meglio. Leggero, versatile, mi permetta di tenere il codice più ordinato ed ha una funzione di ricerca all’interno del file, di gruppi di file o cartelle veramente eccezionale. (io lo uso per html, asp, php, javascript e actionscript, con altri linguaggi non so come si comporti)

Tempo fa un amico mi mostrò un editor ti testo che dava la possibilità di zoomare avanti e indietro tenendo premuto il tasto ctrl della tastiera e facendo scorrere la rotella del mouse, glob!, con codici molto lunghi permetteva a colpo d’occhio di muoversi all’interno del codice. In più nell’editare un testo non si era limitati alla posizione del cursore, ma si poteva scrivere in qualunque posizione! E si potevano definire i tag e le colorazioni!!!
Purtroppo non sono più riuscito a trovare questo fantastico editor, se qualcuno ne avesse niotizia me lo faccia pls sapere!!! Dopo averlo provato, qualunque altro editor risulta essere inadeguato…
